About

Meet Michelle and Kaitlin.

Two Tiles Social Club is led by Michelle Thompson and Kaitlin Ricketts, who bring deep experience in teaching, leadership, and creating thoughtful experiences to every lesson, game, and event.

Michelle Thompson

Michelle Thompson

Michelle brings over 20 years of experience in teaching and training adult learners, combining a strong foundation in education with a lifelong passion for creativity and community. After a successful corporate career, she stepped away in 2018 to focus on raising her four children when she had her second set of twins. Since then, she has remained deeply involved in her community and her children’s school, continuing to lead, create, and connect through volunteer work and hands-on projects.

Michelle was introduced to Mah Jongg nearly two years ago by Kaitlin and quickly caught the Mah Jongg bug. She loves the strategy of the game and the way it brings people together. Drawing on her extensive teaching background, she began instructing family and friends and is completing her certification through the School of American Mah Jongg. Michelle is passionate about creating engaging, approachable learning experiences that help players build confidence, connect, and truly enjoy the game.

Kaitlin Ricketts

Kaitlin Ricketts

Kaitlin brings over 20 years of experience in client strategy, leadership, and relationship-building to Two Tiles Social Club. With a career rooted in creating thoughtful, people-centered experiences, she has a natural ability to connect with others and guide them in a way that feels both supportive and engaging. She brings that same approachable, welcoming style to the Mah Jongg table.

Kaitlin discovered Mah Jongg about 2.5 years ago and quickly fell in love with both its strategy and its ability to bring people together. What started as teaching friends and family so she’d always have a game soon grew into a passion for helping others learn and build confidence in a fun, social setting. Today, she blends her professional expertise with her love of the game to create inclusive, enjoyable experiences for players of all levels. When she’s not teaching or hosting, Kaitlin enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys.
